Meghan Could Release Memoir as Royals Fear Harry’s 400 Cut Pages

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be considering another explosive memoir, potentially from Meghan herself—according to a royal expert, raising concerns within the Royal Family about further damaging revelations.

Following reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s lucrative Netflix deal will not be renewed, speculation is mounting that the couple may turn to publishing once again to maintain their lifestyle and income. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes this possibility has the monarchy on high alert.

“What would sell is another memoir,” Fitzwilliams told the Express. “Harry told us when Spare was released that he cut 400 pages as they would be toxic for the Royal Family. The royals will be concerned that the Sussexes could publish another memoir, and this time it could be Meghan, or Harry could write a memoir about his early life.”

Harry’s first memoir, Spare, released in January 2023, made international headlines with its deeply personal insights and unfiltered criticism of royal life, family tensions, and his upbringing. The book became a bestseller, but also deepened the divide between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family.

Now, with Netflix—one of their most significant sources of income reportedly parting ways with the couple, Fitzwilliams suggests the pair may resort to further public disclosures to stay financially afloat.

“When you have unhappy exiles, you either have reconciliation or you have trouble,” he said. “I can’t see Meghan and Harry wanting to change their lifestyle. This devastating blow from Netflix raises the question of how they fund it without dishing more dirt.”

He went on to question the couple’s trustworthiness within royal circles, particularly in light of past actions, including their high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, which was described by many as damaging to the monarchy’s public image.

“If you behave as outrageously as the Sussexes have, you are not trusted,” Fitzwilliams stated. “Unless the Royal Family knows something we don’t, they will be very worried.”

“The Royal Family has not forgotten the devastating interview on Oprah and must be hoping they Harry and Meghan find a source of revenue very quickly,” he added.

While no new memoir has been officially announced, the speculation alone is enough to stir unease among royal insiders who fear further disclosures could create lasting consequences for the institution. As the Sussexes navigate a post-Netflix chapter, all eyes remain on their next move.
