Gavin Newsom’s Press Office has once again gone viral after posting a new round of mockery aimed at President Donald Trump, this time highlighting moments where he appeared to nod off during official meetings. The latest jab came after Trump was widely criticized for seemingly falling asleep during multiple events, including a peace meeting his administration arranged between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Governor’s Press Office shared a meme on X titled the “Presidential Walk of Fatigue,” featuring three gilded frames labeled “recently,” “yesterday,” and “today,” each showing Trump appearing to drift off in different meetings. The meme quickly made the rounds online, adding fuel to ongoing commentary from critics, including late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who have accused the 79-year-old president of struggling to stay awake during work hours.
This is far from the first time Newsom’s team has publicly mocked Trump. The Governor’s Press Office previously released a parody health report after Trump declared he was in “excellent health.” The spoof claimed Newsom was “the healthiest person alive and ever to live,” using language that mirrored Trump’s own exaggerated rhetoric. It also poked at Trump’s shorter work schedule and alleged drowsiness during meetings.
The humorous mock report read, “As part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s annual physical, we conducted advanced imaging of his cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and neurological health. I’m pleased to report that nothing about the Governor’s health is merely ‘normal’. Governor Newsom remains the healthiest human currently alive or recorded in medical history.”
In addition to health claims, the statement also targeted Trump’s posture and stamina, saying Newsom “does not require ‘executive time’ to lie down and watch TV during work hours, and is able to stand upright without looking like the leaning Tower of Pisa.”
Meanwhile, Trump recently told reporters he would release his MRI results, though he struggled to remember what body part had been scanned. “It was just an MRI,” he said aboard Air Force One. “What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”
With both Trump and Newsom continuing to circle each other in public messaging battles, the latest meme adds yet another entry into a long-running pattern of viral political sparring — one that shows no signs of slowing as election season approaches.
