Kate Middleton is reportedly struggling to navigate the tensions surrounding King Charles’ push to sever ties with Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. The renewed scrutiny comes after leaked emails connected Ferguson to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, putting the royal family in a difficult position.
While Prince William is firmly in favor of removing Andrew and Ferguson from the Royal Lodge, where they’ve resided for years, Kate is concerned that such a move could lead to further damaging stories about the family.
An insider told Radar Online, “Prince William thinks Andrew and Fergie should be removed from Royal Lodge. He thinks it’s the only way to protect the monarchy and wants to draw a line under the scandal once and for all.” However, the source added that Kate, the Princess of Wales, is “panicked that more sordid bombshells might come out if the Yorks are pushed too far.”

Kate had previously grown closer to Sarah Ferguson, especially after both women faced personal health challenges. Yet, sources claim Kate now feels the need to distance herself. “Kate is now under growing pressure to cut ties with the Duchess. Kate cares for Sarah, but she can’t afford to be pulled into this and feels like this new web of lies could destroy the family,” the insider explained.
The source also emphasized Kate’s priorities, noting, “Her priority is her children, her health, and the future of the Crown. This isn’t a storm she can stand next to. Kate has no choice – she must put the monarchy first.”
Meanwhile, Ferguson is reportedly holding onto the belief that she still has supporters within the royal family. “Privately, Sarah believes that she still has friends in high places within the Firm, but Kate has now taken a step back,” the insider revealed.

The growing rift within the royal family continues to attract attention, with Kate’s position being closely watched as the monarchy grapples with its ongoing challenges.
