Kim Kardashian Says She’s “Too Comfortable” Being Single After Kanye West Split

Kim Kardashian is opening up about how her perspective on dating has shifted nearly five years after her split from Kanye West. In the newest episode of The Kardashians, released November 13, the reality star spoke candidly about how comfortable she has become living on her own and why the idea of a new relationship now feels more complicated.

“You get really comfortable the longer you’re single,” she said in a confessional. She explained that independence has become a bigger part of her identity, and “the thought of sharing a bed or TV shows with someone else becomes less and less appealing because you get set in your ways.”

The admission marked one of her most direct reflections yet on the emotional adjustments that followed her high-profile divorce. During the episode, Kim shared a heartfelt conversation with her All’s Fair costar Sarah Paulson. The two sat together discussing how Kim manages the demands of raising four children while navigating intense public scrutiny.

Sarah reminded her, “Even think about the number of times you’re trying to keep everything little and tight around your four kids,” acknowledging the constant pressure Kim faces while co-parenting the children she shares with Kanye.

Sarah encouraged her to stay open to the possibility of love, saying, “I’m actually wanting more for you of whatever the great romance of your life is, for that to be able to bloom.” She expressed hope that Kim would eventually allow herself the chance to experience a relationship that feels fulfilling and expansive.

Kim admitted that while she understands the concern, her priorities are centered squarely on her family and career. “I know Sarah feels like I have put up this wall to overprotect myself so that I just may not open up to love,” she said in another confessional. She acknowledged that her instincts lean toward caution, which often means keeping a tight boundary around her personal life.

At the same time, Kim made it clear she does not feel pressured to rush into dating. “It’s OK to close down a bit and focus on the things that I want in life,” she said. Taking time for herself, she explained, allows her to regain clarity and keep her attention on the commitments that matter most to her right now.

Still, she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of future romance. “I’m the biggest hopeless romantic. When the right person comes along, I’ll be so ready and everything will be fine,” she said, ending the episode on a hopeful note.
