The ongoing legal battle between actors Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively over It Ends With Us has taken another dramatic twist, despite reports suggesting the case ended in Lively’s favour. Both stars remain entangled in a bitter dispute that has spilled far beyond Hollywood.
While Lively celebrated Halloween with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, clarified to The Daily Mail that the legal fight is far from over. He said that his client intentionally chose not to file an amended complaint to preserve the right to appeal the decision.
Freedman rejected claims that Baldoni’s side had lost the case, arguing that media outlets had misrepresented the facts. “The truth of the case has been completely distorted,” he said, adding that the actor and director’s team remained committed to uncovering the facts and continuing their legal pursuit.

Shortly after, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit, alleging that Lively and The New York Times had damaged his reputation and attempted to take control of the film project.
The tension between the two escalated when Lively accused Baldoni’s team of concealing crucial evidence and using digital tools to spread misinformation about her. She further demanded access to a complete version of an explicit birth video allegedly shown to her on set, describing it as “pornography.”
