Candace Cameron Bure Posts an Old Picture With Lori Loughlin From the Night She Met Her Husband

Candace Cameron Bure is thanking her Full House cast members for leading her to her husband, Val Bure.

Over the years, the actress has shared details about their love story. But in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary on June 22, Candace went down memory lane on Instagram about the first time she and Val met. According to one of Candace’s latest posts, her Full House costar Dave Coulier was playing in a charity hockey game and invited the cast of the show to watch. After briefly meeting Val at the event, Dave introduced him to Candace and the two hit it off.

As it turns out, Dave also invited Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin, and all three played a part in Candace and Val’s meeting. On Tuesday, Candace shared photos of that important night on Instagram.

“In light of our 25th wedding anniversary 💒, I did some internet digging,” the 45-year-old Hallmark star captioned the pics (you can see the Instagram post here and all three photos in the order they were posted below). “The first photo is the night I was introduced and met my future husband, Valeri Bure. This photo was taken in 1994 at the Luc Robitaille charity hockey game @dcoulier invited @bobsaget, Lori Loughlin and me to.”

Candace advised her followers to look at the next two photos closely. “Do you see Lori and me watching the game?! Swipe to the third photo. Centered is a super cute, blonde haired, extremely talented Russian pro hockey player in the blue helmet talking with his talented super star brother, Pavel.”

She continued: “Wow. I’ve never seen photos 2 and 3 before!! Thank you internet for the incredible captured memories! … Thank you @dcoulier for taking me to my first hockey game. Thank you Lori for being my wing woman and thank you @bobsaget for watching out for me like a dad 😉.”

In the comments section, Candace’s Full House family reminisced about that night. “I’m your #cupid Love you and Val ❤️,” Dave wrote in the comments section. “When Val gave you his sweaty jersey after the game I knew it was a done deal. Love you. And Val!!! ❤️,” Bob said.

Lori does not have a verified Instagram account anymore and did not comment. Last year, Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were sentenced in the nationwide college admissions scandal. The two were convicted after paying $500,000 in bribes to get their two daughters, Olivia and Isabella, into the University of Southern California. In addition to serving two months in prison, Lori was given a $150,000 fine and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service. Mossimo served just short of five months in prison and owed a $250,000 fine and 250 hours of community service.

While accepting an award in 2019 at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for her work on Netflix’s Fuller House, Candace seemingly gave her opinion on Lori and the scandal.

“Family sticks together no matter what,” Candace said. “They stick together through the hard times. They support each other. They encourage one another. They pray for each other, and they stand by their side no matter how tough it gets. And a loving family that sticks together also celebrates the really good times together.”
