King Charles has reportedly urged Queen Camilla and Meghan Markle to set aside their differences so that Prince Harry can return to the royal family. According to Radar Online, Meghan has told Prince Harry she would only consider coming back to the United Kingdom on one strict condition: that Queen Camilla is never in the same room with her.
However, Camilla is said to have her own reservations about the Duchess of Sussex. Palace insiders claim she views Meghan as “manipulative” and “dangerous” to King Charles’ peace of mind, making reconciliation even more difficult. Charles, now 76, is said to be deeply troubled by the ongoing feud between the women and its toll on the monarchy’s reputation.
The King reportedly wants nothing more than to reunite his family and bring Harry back into the royal fold. “Charles is craving peace more than anything,” a royal insider told the outlet. “He’s well aware the family rift is damaging the monarchy’s reputation, but Meghan’s demands have made the situation far worse.”

The tension between the Duchess and the Queen has long been rumored, with both women representing opposing forces in the royal family’s internal struggles. Sources claim that Camilla, who has grown increasingly protective of the King, refuses to bend to Meghan’s conditions. “Camilla refuses to yield, Meghan won’t compromise – they’re completely deadlocked,” another palace insider explained.
Charles’ plea reportedly comes after months of failed attempts to bridge the divide between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family. The King has maintained communication with Harry but continues to face obstacles in his efforts to mend relationships fractured since the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
For Meghan, any return to royal life appears complicated. Her strained history with senior royals, including allegations of tension with both Camilla and Kate Middleton, has left deep divisions that seem difficult to overcome.

Meanwhile, Charles’ desire for “peace” reportedly stems not only from family concerns but also from a sense of duty to preserve the monarchy’s stability. The source added that the King’s health and emotional well-being have made reconciliation even more urgent in his eyes.
Despite his pleas, palace insiders suggest there is little sign of progress. As one royal source put it, “The situation has reached a standstill – and the King’s wish for unity remains out of reach.”
