Always remember that fragrance of cologne should be such that elevate your mood, boost confidence and help you relax. For good grooming, it is essential that men should smell the bottle of perfume if you like it then spray it on your wrist. Citrus refers to lemon, lime, and other citrus fruits for men’s cologne. Fougere for fern in French are mossy and herbal. Floral scents are those from flowers. Oriental are a spicy fragrance, usually full-bodied. Marine means an ocean whereas green describes fragrances from plants such as pine, juniper, other leavers, and herbs. Chypre describes earthy fragrances such as patchouli.

It is necessary for men that when men apply cologne, the key is to be careful. Do not apply more than two sprays. If you are using a pour bottle be a ‘dabber’ not a ‘splasher’ use one finger in various location which consist of neck, elbows, ankles, wrists behind your knees and ears. This an important thing from grooming point as heat is generated in these areas. The fragrance of cologne will last longer in these pulse points. Do not use too many scents together as so many products contain scents – shave creams and gels, aftershave, toners, deodorants/antiperspirants, etc.

EDC – Eau de cologne is the slightest concentrated form of a fragrance (2 – 5% perfume oil dissolved in water and alcohol)
EDT – Eau de toilette (4 – 10%)

PARFUM or Perfume (15 – 25%) is the most concentrated.
