Royal Rift “Worse Than Ever” as Prince William Struggles to Forgive Harry

Tensions between the Sussexes and the Windsors continue to dominate royal conversations, with insiders warning the divide could be reaching new depths. According to royal editor Duncan Larcombe, the feud between Prince Harry and Prince William may now be “worse than ever.”

In a report shared by OK! Magazine, Larcombe explained that years of public criticism and private grievances have eroded the brothers’ relationship. “There’s no doubt the feud between them is worse than ever, so much has happened and there has been so much betrayal and fury,” he said.

The roots of this betrayal, Larcombe noted, trace back to Harry and Meghan’s public accounts of their struggles with the royal family. The couple’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 was a turning point, where they openly discussed issues within the Firm. For many inside the palace, it was the first sign that the couple was prepared to speak about private family matters on a global stage.

“Their Oprah Winfrey interview was the first big blow, so to speak, because it showed that Harry and Meghan were prepared to speak about the royals, particularly Charles and William, in a way one would never expect from another family member,” Larcombe said.

What came after, however, may have cut even deeper. Harry’s memoir Spare, released in 2023, revealed intimate details about royal life, including strained moments with William. The disclosures, according to Larcombe, left the Prince of Wales furious. “Then Harry’s book, Spare, was incredibly damaging and made William furious because of the betrayal of family secrets,” he explained.

The ongoing silence between the brothers only adds to the sense of unease. Larcombe warned that the longer they go without speaking, the harder reconciliation will become. “In the eyes of Mr Larcombe, the longer they don’t speak, the deeper the feud will get,” the report noted.

For now, both sides remain distant, with little sign of progress. Royal watchers fear the relationship may never return to what it once was. With time, the bitterness appears to be hardening rather than fading, leaving the once-close brothers locked in a standoff that shows no sign of easing.
