Prince Harry’s long-running battle with hair loss has reportedly become a source of tension in his marriage to Meghan Markle, with insiders claiming it has affected both his confidence and their relationship. Sources close to the Duke of Sussex say his growing insecurity over his appearance has taken an emotional toll and even impacted his intimacy with the Duchess.
According to Radar Online, Harry has been dealing with male-pattern baldness for more than a decade and has turned to treatments such as finasteride and minoxidil in an attempt to slow it down—despite the potential side effects.
A friend of the Duke told the publication that Harry’s determination to preserve his hair has grown into an obsession. “Harry is very self-conscious about his hair. He’s been using a mix of treatments for a while now,” the source said. “He knows there are potential side effects, but the truth is, it doesn’t really matter to him anymore.”

The insider added that the couple’s relationship has shifted since the birth of their daughter, Princess Lilibet. “They described Harry and Meghan’s relationship as more collegial than romantic,” the source said, suggesting that the spark between them has dimmed.
Harry has reportedly joked in the past about “not wanting to go bald” like his brother, Prince William, but friends say that humor has turned into frustration. “Now the joke’s on him,” the insider said. “He’s become obsessed with keeping what’s left, even if the meds mess with his hormones.”
Those close to Harry have expressed concern that his fixation on his hair may be affecting his well-being. “People close to him say he’s trading off his manhood for vanity – but at this point, it’s about control. His appearance is one of the few things he still feels he can manage,” the source explained.

Another friend said that part of Harry’s distress stems from his struggle to adjust to life outside the royal family. “He’s been struggling to fit in, and he hates being reminded that he’s aging,” the friend said. “For Harry, losing his hair feels like losing control – and he’s already lost so much.”
According to the insider, intimacy has been a challenge for the couple in recent years. “They barely touch. Harry still loves Meghan, but the spark is gone. Whether the meds make a difference or not, the bedroom door’s been closed for a long time,” they said.
