Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘concerned’ about King Charles health

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly treading carefully as concerns grow over King Charles’ ongoing health battle.

The monarch continues cancer treatment following his 2024 diagnosis, a situation that has apparently prompted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to reconsider how they engage with the royal family going forward.

In a recent gesture, King Charles hosted the estranged couple at his Highgrove estate, fulfilling what had reportedly been a long-standing wish to spend time with his grandchildren despite his declining health. The visit is being seen as a meaningful step in a relationship that has been strained for years.

Following that visit, sources now claim Harry and Meghan have made a conscious decision to avoid actions that could cause further harm or distress to the King, given his fragile condition.

For Harry in particular, the situation reportedly puts him in a difficult position — caught between concern for his father and loyalty to his wife, who has often been vocal and unafraid to speak her mind publicly.

A source close to the family told Heat magazine, “He’s very proud of how strong and outspoken she is, and he’s certainly not asking her to change who she is. But at the same time, the gravity of this situation requires that they take a very different approach than they have in the past.”

The comment suggests that while Harry isn’t asking Meghan to alter her personality or public voice, both are aware that the current circumstances call for more caution and sensitivity than they may have exercised in the past.

Harry has previously acknowledged, in an earlier interview, that his priority now lies with supporting his father through his cancer battle, signaling a shift in focus away from past conflicts and toward family reconciliation.

An insider reportedly added further insight into the couple’s mindset, saying, “He’s also considering the King and the state of his health, which is still a big concern. The last thing Harry wants to do is add any more stress. And to be fair, Meghan certainly isn’t out to do that, either.”

The remarks indicate that both Harry and Meghan are reportedly aligned in wanting to avoid adding pressure to an already delicate situation, even as questions remain about the future of their relationship with the royal family.

As King Charles continues treatment, all eyes remain on how the Sussexes navigate this sensitive chapter — balancing personal loyalty, family duty, and public scrutiny in equal measure.
