Trump Golf Outing Sparks New Health Concerns After Video Shows Unsteady Walk

President Donald Trump’s physical condition is once again drawing attention after new video footage appeared to show him struggling to walk during a golf outing in Virginia. The 79-year-old played Saturday at Trump National Golf Club with former Major League Baseball pitcher Roger Clemens and his son Kacy, who later posted clips of the round on Instagram.

Viewers quickly noticed Trump’s right leg dragging as he moved between holes. “He’s dragging that right leg again, and he can’t walk in a straight line,” said Ben Meiselas of MeidasTouch, commenting on the footage.

The Instagram post, captioned “Incredible day at Trump National Washington DC with The President, Donald Trump!,” featured shots of the group riding carts, taking swings, and chatting. A bruise on Trump’s left hand also drew attention, adding to ongoing speculation about his health.

The video was set to Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down.” Petty’s family previously objected to Trump’s use of the song during his 2020 campaign. This latest spotlight comes just days after Trump’s shaky walk made headlines during a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15.

At that event, he appeared unable to walk in a straight line along a red carpet rolled out for the meeting. Questions about Trump’s hand bruising have also persisted. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement to the Daily Beast, “President Trump is a man of the people, and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history. His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day.”

Trump’s physician, Sean Barbabella, offered further explanation earlier this year, attributing the marks to “minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”

While most bruises have been observed on Trump’s right hand, the most recent one appeared on his left. Observers also noted that his right hand appeared coated with makeup during the weekend golf game. Clemens’ scorecard from the round showed Trump finishing fourth out of four players, a result that may have stung more than the visible bruise.

White House spokesperson Liz Huston defended Trump’s condition in another statement, saying, “President Trump is the most active and transparent president in American history.” Supporters of Trump continue to push back against health concerns, while critics point to repeated signs of unsteadiness. The fresh video ensures the debate over his fitness for office remains at the forefront as the former president continues his public appearances.
