Kanye West’s recent erratic behavior has sparked growing concern among fans and industry insiders, with sources suggesting the rapper may have relapsed into abusing nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas. According to Radar Online, individuals close to the Yeezy founder claim his use of the substance has fueled increasingly unpredictable outbursts, leading to troubling consequences.
“When Kanye is inhaling laughing gas, he loses all his inhibitions and just says and does anything that comes to him at the spur of the moment,” one insider revealed. “Half the time, he doesn’t even remember afterward.” The Donda rapper reportedly quit using nitrous oxide in August 2023 but has since resumed the habit. Insiders believe this has contributed to a resurgence of his most controversial and alarming behavior—including hateful rhetoric regarding Jewish people and references to Hitler.

Medical professionals have long warned about the dangers of nitrous oxide abuse. Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a Florida-based physician, cautioned that the drug can cause lasting cognitive damage. “It is habit-forming mentally because the user will want to keep chasing the euphoria they feel, but it destroys brain cells and greatly increases the risk of developing dementia,” Dr. Mirkin explained.
Some close to the West fear these effects may already be taking hold. “He’s returned to his old self-destructive ways, and it’s eating away at whatever is left of him,” another source claimed. “He not only forgets what he has said, but he has trouble remembering the names of people he’s known for years.”

The concerns come as West faces increasing scrutiny over his behavior, with many fearing he is heading toward another serious breakdown. “You hope for the best but fear for the worst with Kanye,” the insider added. “The gas has him heading for near-certain disaster.”
