Kanye West has responded publicly to the allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking made by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, in an amended complaint. The rapper, 48, described the accusations as “absurd” and stated that Pisciotta had amended her complaint multiple times, with each revision growing increasingly outlandish.
In a statement issued through his representatives this weekend, West’s spokesperson took aim at Pisciotta’s shifting claims. “Each new revision contradicts the others; each is more absurd and outlandish than all previous claims combined,” the Yeezy representative told Daily Mail.
The spokesperson further questioned whether Pisciotta herself believed her accusations. “Does Ms. Pisciotta actually believe her confabulations? We cannot know. But this breathless new installment of fantasy fiction discredits all past, present, and future testimony,” the statement continued.
West’s team made it clear that the rapper intends to fight the allegations in court. “We stand ready to annihilate Ms. Pisciotta’s tall tales before a jury—an exoneration so inevitable that even she, lost in her fog of fantasy, must surely see it coming.”
Milo Yiannopoulos, a representative for Yeezy, also weighed in, criticizing Pisciotta’s amended complaint. He dismissed the claims as “absurd,” noting that they now include serious accusations such as kidnapping, battery, rape, false imprisonment, and sex trafficking.
“She picked the one rapper who loathes violence, has never been arrested, and doesn’t even own a gun,” Yiannopoulos said. In response, Pisciotta’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, sharply criticized West’s statement, calling it “false and defamatory.”
Bloom argued that West’s publicist ignored the rapper’s previous admissions that align with some of the claims made by Pisciotta. “While Kanye West’s publicist has come up with a slickly worded (and outrageously false and defamatory) attack on Ms. Pisciotta, Kanye himself has publicly admitted much of what she’s claiming,” Bloom said.
“Kanye’s publicist is deafeningly silent on Kanye’s own admissions, which will destroy him in court. We look forward to seeing him there, where he cannot hide behind a high-priced spin team.” Pisciotta worked for West starting in July 2021 and was promoted to Chief of Staff in 2022 for his various businesses.
She claims she was terminated in October 2022 and was promised a $3 million severance package that was never paid. Initially, she filed a lawsuit last year for breach of contract, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and a hostile work environment.
These claims were later expanded in an amended complaint filed in October 2024, which introduced the more serious accusations. The legal battle continues, with both parties preparing for a courtroom showdown.
