Hollywood legend Harrison Ford has revealed a surprising and humorous habit. During a recent television appearance, the veteran actor admitted that he sometimes listens to soundtracks from his own films in the bedroom.
Ford, 83, shared the lighthearted confession during his March 10 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. When host Jimmy Kimmel asked whether he had ever played music from his movies in such a setting, Ford responded with a laugh. “Of course I have,” he said, though he did not reveal which of his iconic film scores he prefers.
The actor has starred in some of the most recognizable films in Hollywood history, including Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Blade Runner (1982), and Star Wars (1977). These films feature memorable musical scores that have become closely tied to the characters and stories Ford helped bring to life.
While discussing his long career, Ford also joked about the difference between making a movie and watching the finished result. Reflecting on his experience on film sets, he explained that the process of creating a movie is what truly satisfies him.

“I don’t have a favourite because I really love the making of a movie. That’s where I’m satisfied, when we’re making it,” he said on the show. “When you see it, it’s been all screwed up. When I did it, it was better than that.”
Ford has continued returning to the characters that made him famous, revisiting several of his legendary franchises in recent years. He reprised his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), appeared again in the science-fiction world of Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and most recently returned as Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023).
The actor’s playful remarks come shortly after a heartfelt moment in his personal life. Earlier this year, Ford publicly praised his wife, actress Calista Flockhart, while accepting the 2026 SAG-AFTRA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ford and Flockhart, 61, married in June 2010 after dating for eight years. Their relationship began when they first met at the 59th Golden Globes in January 2002.
Known for his dry humor and long-standing career in blockbuster films, Ford continues to show that even after decades in Hollywood, he still enjoys reflecting on the movies that helped define his legacy.
