Adam Levine proposed to Behati Prinsloo on both knees. The Maroon 5 frontman was so overcome with nerves when he popped the question to the Namibian model that he ended up losing his balance and had to place his other knee down to steady himself.
Speaking on ‘Live with Kelly & Michael’ on Monday he explained: “Doesn’t matter how certain you think you are. You still get down on that knee and you just get woozy and you’re like, ‘Adam Levine doing this. Oh my God.’ And you can’t be confident about it. It’s impossible. “I’m a confident person, but I got down on that knee and everything changed immediately. I lost my equilibrium. I had to get on the other one.
“But the one thing that I will say is that I did say at one point, ‘Both knees. Like look, I got on both knees.’ And it didn’t sound charming at all.” Adam Levine 34-year-old singer, who is set to marry the Victoria’s Secret angel in Mexico next month, asked Behati’s father for his blessing before he proposed to the brunette beauty last July. He said recently: “I did ask his permission. I don’t want to talk about it, you know how I am, but yes, of course I did. I had to. And it was extremely nerve-wracking.”
The couple first started dating in May 2012, but briefly split last year. The ‘One More Night’ hit maker enjoyed a brief romance with 22-year-old model Nina Agdal in May last year during his time apart from Behati, but they soon reunited and announced their engagement.
