Gillian Anderson is an acclaimed American actress who began her acting career in 1990–91 at the Manhattan Theatre Club. She received the script for The X Files at the age of 24 and started working for television in 1993. Her role as Special Agent Dana Scully in this American television series The X-Files from 1993-2002 landed her worldwide fame and also got her many awards.
Gillian Anderson has appeared in a number of films such as The Mighty, The Mighty Celt, The House of Mirth, The Last King of Scotland, Bleak House, The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Any Human Heart, Shadow Dancer, and two X-Files films The X-Files and The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
Gillian Anderson has also given many television and stage appearances.
