Trump Criticizes Liz Cheney and Jack Smith in Truth Social Post Over Immunity Issue

Former President Donald Trump recently expressed his strong disapproval of former Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and special counsel Jack Smith in a post on Truth Social, focusing on a dispute over an immunity claim.

In his post, Trump did not delve into specific details of the claim but instead criticized Cheney for what he described as ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).’ He highlighted her defeat in Congress, claiming it to be the largest loss for an incumbent in U.S. history. Trump’s remarks reflect his ongoing discontent with Cheney, a notable critic of his administration.

Additionally, Trump addressed special counsel Jack Smith, countering Smith’s dismissal of his assertion of entitlement to immunity in the federal case examining his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. Trump expressed his frustration, stating, “The ridiculous Deranged Jack Smith case on Immunity, which the most respected legal minds in the Country say I am fully entitled to, is now completely compromised and should be thrown out and terminated, JUST LIKE THE RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS DID TO THE EVIDENCE.”

This statement follows Trump’s previous post on Truth Social, where he claimed a right to presidential immunity. His recent comments add to the ongoing public discourse surrounding his legal challenges and the political reactions they have elicited.
