Currently the 4’ x 8’ “No. 5, 1948” painting stands in most famous paint work in world produced by most reclusive American artist Jackson Pollock that he painted in 1948 with his exceptional “drip technique” and was sold to a Mexican businessman and entertainment mogul David Martinez in November 2006, the seller being  David Geffen.

Jackson Pollock’s signature work “No. 5, 1948” painting is an oil, enamel and aluminum paint on fiberboard brushed in a nest like tangles of brown, yellow and grey hues that he created with his unique drip and splash style of action painting and is being rated as most expensive painting of the world. Though the confirmed price of Jackson Pollock’s signature work “No. 5, 1948” painting is still not known but $ 140 million are accepted as its true price.
