Aishwarya made her acting debut with Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Iruvar in 1997 and her first big commercial success and public recognition came with the Hindi films Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and Devdas (2002), which fetched her two Best Actress awards at Filmfare.
Along the way there were a few setbacks too as she had to face some distressing stints of unsuccessful films during 2003–2005. However her courage and passion kept her going and the perseverance paid off as the blockbuster action thriller Dhoom 2 turned out to be a great success.
Currently married to Abhishek Bachchan, and daughter in law of the Great Amitabh Bachchan, she is enjoying a wonderful family life and status of being the mother of a daughter. Pregnancy and child birth kept her away from the camera limelight but now she is again gearing up for some great roles.
