What’s with Elton John’s vehicles going on sale of a sudden? First it was his 1965 Jaguar E-Type that went up for auction earlier this year. Now it’s his 1987 Ferrari Testarossa that is up for sale in Australia. The car was gifted to him on his 40th birthday by MCA records and in all the years, has racked up less than 12,500 miles since it left the Ferrari sweatshop in Maranello. The 4.9-liter flat-12 engine rated at 390 horsepower car that has a top speed of 180 mph comes complete with its original tool kit, service records and documentation. Documentation signed by Elton John himself.
This car normally sells between $50,000 to $75,000, but considering that the car has celebrity status it won’t be unforeseen if the car sold for $196,000 – the asking price for the car.
