King Charles is said to be growing increasingly concerned about Prince William’s ongoing anger toward his younger brother, Prince Harry, as the royal rift between the brothers continues to divide the family.
According to Closer magazine, the King believes William’s resentment toward Harry has reached an unhealthy level and has privately urged him to “swallow his pride” for the sake of family unity.
Sources claim that the Prince of Wales becomes visibly frustrated whenever Harry’s name is mentioned. “William has been so tense, he’s barely able to hide his fury whenever his brother’s name comes up,” an insider told the outlet.
Past reports have also suggested that William has been known to cut conversations short or even ask people to leave the room if Harry is brought up. The tension reportedly remains one of the biggest emotional strains for the royal family, particularly for King Charles, who has tried to maintain a relationship with both sons despite their differences.
“In the eyes of his father and King, it’s not healthy,” the insider said. “Charles felt like it was high time he sat him down to try and get through to him.”

The insider added that behind the scenes, King Charles has been appealing to William’s sense of duty and perspective. “Charles is urging William to swallow his pride and see the bigger picture,” the source continued. “In Charles’ view, even if William doesn’t want to be close with Harry or Meghan, there’s no point alienating them. He says he’s got good reason for his decisions, even in respect to Harry, and he needs William to respect that.”
