Prince Harry is facing renewed criticism over his public persona and involvement in charitable causes, with royal correspondent Kinsey Schofield branding his efforts as “insincere” during a recent appearance on TalkTV with host Mike Graham.
Schofield didn’t hold back as she scrutinized the Duke of Sussex’s approach to public service, suggesting that much of his work appears to be driven by public relations rather than genuine commitment. “I think that if you’re watching the Sussex show as a spectator, you just think, here’s another PR opportunity for Prince Harry, and you don’t feel like there is any sincerity to it whatsoever,” she said.
Her critique centered heavily on recent controversies surrounding Prince Harry’s philanthropic ventures, particularly his association with the charity Sentebale, which he co-founded to support young people affected by HIV in Lesotho and Botswana.

Schofield highlighted that serious concerns have surfaced regarding the charity’s internal culture. “Especially when you look at the chaos surrounding Sentebale,” she explained. “We’re still waiting to find out whether there is an investigation as to whether the head of Sentebale was bullied, treated poorly because she is a black female.”
That investigation, prompted by the UK Charity Commission, stems from claims of workplace toxicity, poor leadership, and mismanagement within the organization. Sophie Chandauka, who served as chair of Sentebale, has reportedly accused both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of showing a lack of respect to her and other members of the team.
The scrutiny doesn’t stop there. Schofield also pointed to the growing controversy surrounding African Parks, another organization Prince Harry has been involved with. The charity has been accused of covering up serious allegations, including incidents of rape and torture, reportedly linked to its operations in Africa.

“Not to mention the African Parks charity scandal,” she said. “They have been very protective of their independent research into some of the accusations involving rape and torture,” Schofield concluded by questioning Harry’s tendency to avoid taking responsibility when controversies arise. “These are some pretty intense scandals that surround these charities that he’s involved in,” she said.
“And he tends to take a back seat versus facing them head-on or insisting that they are more forthcoming when it comes to this information.” As calls grow for greater transparency and accountability, critics argue that Prince Harry must do more than appear supportive—he must actively confront the challenges facing the organizations he champions.
