Prince Andrew Reportedly Feels Relieved Yet Cautious After DOJ Epstein Memo

Prince Andrew is said to be experiencing a mixture of relief and frustration following the release of a Department of Justice memo that claims there is no client list or credible evidence of blackmail linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s network. The memo, recently disclosed and reported by Fox News Digital, states: “There is no list of clients,” and “no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions.”

This news has reportedly eased some long-standing anxieties for the Duke of York, who has remained largely out of the public eye since his association with Epstein drew global scrutiny. An insider close to the royal shared, “[Prince Andrew] has always been very nervous about going abroad and felt he’d always be looking over his shoulder as he could be subject to civil action or, at worst, being arrested.”

According to The Sun, Prince Andrew has only traveled abroad once since the Epstein scandal became public, further highlighting the extent to which legal concerns have shaped his life in recent years.

The insider expressed hope that the recent DOJ findings may change that: “Hopefully, with this out of the way, it means he can at least leave the country.” They added, “What’s he supposed to do with the rest of his life? He hasn’t been convicted of any crime and can’t sit around doing nothing at Royal Lodge forever.”

Despite the potentially reassuring developments, royal commentator Hilary Fordwich cautioned against assuming the scandal’s impact is over. “While Andrew might be feeling a sense of relief and cautious optimism, being now technically able to travel, both his personal and public prospects remain constrained by the enduring negative fallout, as well as his frightfully tarnished reputation from the Epstein scandal,” she told the outlet.

Fordwich also warned of continued media scrutiny: “The media will [still] be relentless and most certainly not positive.” She added that any travel abroad—particularly to the United States—could prompt “hostile” coverage and cause further embarrassment to the royal family.

As the Duke of York weighs his next steps, it remains unclear whether this legal development will truly allow him to step back into public life or if the damage to his reputation is permanent. For now, Prince Andrew remains a royal in limbo, caught between legal clearance and public controversy.
