Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have quietly removed their $68 million Los Angeles estate from the market after failing to attract a buyer, according to a new report from People magazine. The couple, who finalized their divorce earlier in 2024 after two years of marriage, had listed the sprawling Beverly Hills property nearly a year ago.
Despite multiple price adjustments and industry interest, the 38,000-square-foot home remained unsold. “While they’ve been hoping to sell the property, they’ve also been hesitant to take a big loss,” a source close to the couple told People on Wednesday.
The insider revealed that Affleck and Lopez had lowered the asking price in hopes of generating more traction in the luxury market. When that strategy failed, they were advised to take the home off the market entirely. “They lowered the price to get more interest, and when this didn’t happen, they were advised to take it off the market,” the source explained.
“It was a business decision that they made together.” The property—purchased by the former couple in May 2023—was intended to be their marital residence. The estate features 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a sports complex, and multiple guest houses, spread across several acres in Beverly Hills.

A real estate insider familiar with the high-end market noted that the timing simply wasn’t right for a successful sale. “It’s a rough sellers market and especially for that price point,” said the source. “Taking it off the market until it’s more of a seller-friendly climate seems like the smartest decision.”
The move comes amid ongoing public interest in the couple’s high-profile relationship, which began as a rekindled romance nearly two decades after their original engagement in the early 2000s. After tying the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony followed by lavish celebrations, the marriage ultimately ended in early 2024.
While the estate may no longer be on the market, it remains a symbol of the pair’s brief marital chapter and their shared business decisions during and after the relationship. The home was seen as a significant investment for the Hollywood power couple, who had reportedly spent months house-hunting before settling on the ultra-luxury property.
For now, it appears that Affleck and Lopez are opting to wait for a more favorable market before re-listing what was once envisioned as their forever home.
