Insider Claims Prince Harry Regrets Move to California: “He’s Starting to Think It Was a Huge Mistake”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly experiencing tension over their differing views on how much of their children’s lives should be shared publicly, especially in light of Meghan’s recent Father’s Day tribute featuring rare footage of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

According to a report by New Idea, Meghan shared a heartfelt video montage on Instagram celebrating Harry’s role as a father, including never-before-seen moments of him with Archie and Lilibet. While the gesture was intended to honor the occasion, it coincided with a particularly violent weekend in California, which reportedly left Harry stunned by the timing.

An insider told New Idea, “He can’t believe the post went up on the most violent of weekends in recent history – and one that needed the US Marines to intervene – to show Archie and Lili’s faces online for the first time.”

“It was a Father’s Day ‘surprise’ but he’s stunned by the timing. He knows Meghan feels she has to prove a point, but her timing couldn’t be worse. Some days, the only way he can see to keep his family safe is to get away from LA,” the source added.

The post has reportedly intensified Harry’s concerns over safety and privacy, particularly amid rising tensions and civil unrest in parts of Los Angeles. Another insider claimed, “LA’s curfews and clashes seem far more serious, and this time he [Harry] not only has a wife but two kids to keep safe.”

The ongoing instability is said to have Harry questioning their move to California. “Harry’s starting to think they’ve made a huge mistake moving to California,” the source said.

They added, “Seeing the rest of the royals looking so happy, juxtaposed to what was going on a short drive away from his home, with the incessant whoop of choppers flying over him, it’s easy to see why he’s having regrets.”

Security, a long-standing concern for Harry, given his military background and public status, seems to be a growing point of friction. “Even more so, because of his military background, he’s a lot more paranoid about their security than Meghan,” the insider continued.

“Harry wants her to be able to get on with her work and being a mum without worrying about her safety, but it’s a different world now, and it’s rumoured he’s starting to get frustrated with her approach.”

As the couple navigates their post-royal life in the U.S., their differing philosophies on privacy and public exposure are reportedly adding pressure to an already challenging environment.
