Blake Lively is facing growing criticism online following a fan’s claim of a “rude” encounter in New York City, further intensifying the negative spotlight already surrounding the actress amid her ongoing legal dispute with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
The controversy flared when a TikTok user named Landon recounted an unpleasant interaction with the 37-year-old actress at a Stoney Clover Lane store. Landon, who shared the experience with over 197,000 followers, said she was shopping with her mother and sister when she unknowingly entered the store while Lively was already inside.
“First of all, we walked in and we’re just like, looking around … I didn’t even notice [Lively] at first. I’m just looking, shopping for my sister, and the way [Lively’s] talking to the workers at the store was so rude,” Landon claimed.
The fan described Lively’s behavior as dismissive and demanding, quoting the actress as saying, “I want a fresh one of these — one that wasn’t touched by other customers. … Is there a private bathroom?”
According to Landon, Lively appeared to be deeply focused on customizing a bag, allegedly ignoring everyone around her, including her own children and niece. “I was like, ‘Oh my God. People are working hard in stores like this, and this is how you’re treating them?’ Like, you’re being so entitled,” Landon added.
While some may argue celebrities deserve privacy, Landon pushed back on that notion, saying, “…it’s a store, first of all. There’s no sign that says you can’t enter. She didn’t block it off.” She further noted that Lively’s security intervened only after they left: “The second we leave, [Lively’s] security guard comes and stands in front of the door. And now I’m at the corner of the street, and the security guard is staring at me.”
The incident has fueled criticism of Lively’s public demeanor, particularly as she faces a legal battle with Justin Baldoni. Some online are now questioning her attitude and accessibility, pointing to resurfaced clips and stories that paint the actress in a negative light.
As the backlash grows, the question remains whether Lively’s public image can weather this wave of scrutiny—or if fans will continue to walk away.
