Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly made a definitive decision about expanding their family — and it’s causing fresh tension in their marriage. According to Radar Online, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex found themselves at odds after celebrating the special day of their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
While Harry is said to be eager for a third child, Meghan is reportedly focused on growing her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and doesn’t see another baby fitting into her current plans. An insider close to the couple revealed, “She’s so laser-focused on building her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and adding a baby to the mix just doesn’t make sense.”
Meghan and Harry, who already share two children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet appear to be heading in different directions when it comes to their future family plans. Harry’s longing for another child is reportedly tied to the emotional strain he’s feeling from ongoing tensions with the royal family.

The source explained, “Everyone is saying this push for another baby is a reaction to what he’s going through with his father and brother. Now that he’s been totally exiled from his family, it seems he’s feeling the need to create a bigger family of his own.” Harry has been navigating an increasingly distant relationship with both King Charles and Prince William, and it seems the emotional toll has led him to desire more children as a way of coping and finding comfort.
“Prince Harry is wanting more children to heal the pain over his family feud,” the insider added. However, Meghan’s priorities appear to be rooted in her career and personal growth. With her lifestyle brand gaining momentum, she reportedly has little interest in returning to the demands of motherhood right now. “At this point in her life, another pregnancy is not something that she’s got the bandwidth for,” the source said.
“Her brand is her new baby right now.” As Harry and Meghan continue to build their life away from royal duties, the couple now faces the challenge of navigating different visions for their future — one focused on family, the other on ambition. Whether these differing goals will cause lasting strain remains to be seen.
