Gypsy Rose Blanchard may be enjoying life as a new mum, but things haven’t exactly been smooth sailing at home—or rather, not at home. Despite welcoming a daughter, Aurora, with boyfriend Ken Urker in December last year, the couple isn’t currently living under the same roof. The reason? Strict parole conditions.
Since her release from prison in December 2023, after serving eight years for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, Gypsy has been navigating life with some serious restrictions. One of those includes a ban on living with her partner, as reported by E! News. That rule is set to expire in late June 2025, but for now, it means the couple is still doing things separately, despite raising a newborn.
Speaking on the May 19 episode of Life After Lockup, Gypsy didn’t sugar-coat the situation. “Everything is day by day right now. So, we’re just winging it,” she said. “It’s hard to keep up a relationship whenever you’re living in two separate places, and you’ve got schedules that interfere.”

Ken, for his part, seems to be feeling the weight of it all too. In a separate moment on the show, he admitted, “Gypsy’s been gone all week, and my little Aurora isn’t home. It definitely feels a little depressing around the house. I feel like I have no purpose during the daytime before work.”
But there’s light at the end of the tunnel. From next month, that restriction will finally be lifted, and the couple can finally live together full-time. Gypsy shared that she’s planning to “move in with” Ken, and he’s clearly buzzing about it. “We can all be a family finally under one roof. That’s the biggest one,” he said.
Ken also opened up about what life after parole might look like for them. “Freedom, coming out into the world and actually being able to enjoy it, something that Gypsy’s never really been able to do,” he said. “And it’s going to get even better in a few months when she’s off parole. We can actually travel and get to see more stuff. She’s been the best mother I could ever want for my child.”

He added, “I’m super proud that I get to go on this journey with her. And the three of us are experiencing life in an all new way. It’s been glorious. I’m loving every minute of it. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
As for the future, Ken made it clear he’s in it for the long haul. “I know that Gypsy’s the partner I want to go through life with,” he said. “And I want to raise our daughter together as strongly as possible. There’s nobody else I want to experience life with other than her.”
