“Hailey’s dark jacket looked simple and somber, as did her body language,” James continued. “She tossed her hair but not in a preening ritual, and she glanced over her shoulder but with a serious-looking facial expression that lacked any signs of excitement or emotion.” This, James said, suggested Hailey was intentionally keeping a low profile despite the high-profile setting.
The model’s understated makeup and styling appeared deliberate, conveying that her beauty “didn’t need any garnish to have impact.” However, James also observed that Hailey seemed to send the message that she was not eager to be seen “relishing” the public appearance without her famous husband by her side.
