Experts Predict Prince William Will Take a Hard Line on Prince Andrew as King

Prince Andrew has been warned to tread carefully around his nephew, Prince William, as the future King is expected to take a hard line on the disgraced Duke of York, according to royal experts. Since stepping down as a working member of the Royal Family in 2019 following his controversial BBC interview about his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew has largely remained on the sidelines.

Although Andrew has not performed official royal duties since his resignation, he has still been seen at private family gatherings and continues to live at Royal Lodge. This is despite speculation that King Charles wants him to move to a smaller residence. However, experts now say that Prince William will tackle “the Andrew problem” decisively once he ascends the throne.

Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News, “Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew. [He holds] a grudge against his disgraced uncle.” “Andrew’s future within the Royal Family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back. He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.”

Fordwich added that the Prince of Wales remains deeply attuned to public opinion, and recent polls revealing Andrew’s plummeting popularity only strengthen William’s resolve. She explained, “William’s strong stance on ‘the Andrew problem’ is consistent, unwavering, and his influence has been decisive in ensuring Andrew remains sidelined. He is driven by his desire to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future.

Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.” Another royal expert, Helena Chard, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing William’s awareness of public sentiment toward Andrew.

She told the outlet, “[William] recognises the public animosity towards Andrew. He views him as a complete liability with his series of scandals, both past and present, shovelling shame on the family.” “His stance towards his uncle is tough. He will not entertain anyone toxic to the brand. Andrew will not be part of the streamlined monarchy.”

As the royal family moves forward under Prince William’s future reign, it appears the Duke of York’s role will be drastically diminished — if not eliminated entirely — in an effort to preserve the Crown’s image and reputation.
