Prince William and Kate Middleton Move Into New Windsor Home as Neighbors Ordered to Leave for Security Reasons

Prince William and Kate Middleton have officially moved into Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, marking a new chapter for their family. The Prince and Princess of Wales relocated to the residence with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, during the school half-term break for what insiders have described as a “fresh start.”

According to Fox News Digital, the royal move reportedly led to two neighboring families being asked to vacate their homes prior to the family’s arrival. The decision was said to be made for “security reasons” to ensure privacy and protection for the royals.

Royal commentator Ian Pelham Turner told the outlet, “Close neighbors have been surprised to be ordered to leave their properties so that no prying eyes can see the Prince and Princess with their children.”

A source quoted by the Daily Mail confirmed that the residents were not expecting the sudden request to move. “They were told to move out. I guess they were given somewhere else, but they were told they had to move. They were not expecting it,” the insider said.

The source added, “Those houses are very close to the Lodge, so they’re not going to want any Tom, Dick, or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there.” Forest Lodge, located within the expansive Windsor Great Park, is known for its secluded setting and proximity to other royal residences.

The move follows months of speculation that the couple was looking for a more private home base for their young family. However, some locals have raised concerns that the new property offers less privacy compared to their previous home, Adelaide Cottage, which is also situated within the Windsor estate.

Despite these concerns, royal sources maintain that the family intends to maintain a “low-key lifestyle” while balancing their royal duties and parenting responsibilities. The move reportedly coincided with the children’s school break, allowing the family to settle in before returning to their regular routines. Forest Lodge’s location also provides easy access to the children’s school and the royal family’s wider network in Windsor.

For Prince William and Princess Kate, the relocation represents both a practical and personal step. Friends close to the couple describe the move as part of their ongoing effort to give their children as normal an upbringing as possible—away from the spotlight of central London life while still remaining close to the heart of the royal family.
