Sarah Ferguson Says “I would do it all over again, 100 %” as She Stands by Andrew

Sarah Ferguson has once again made clear that her loyalty to Prince Andrew remains unshaken, even decades after their divorce and amid continued controversy surrounding the former royal. The Duke and Duchess of York have long drawn public attention not only for their past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, but also for their unusual post-divorce arrangement.

Despite ending their marriage in 1996, Andrew and Ferguson continued to live together at Royal Lodge, maintaining a close bond that has often puzzled royal watchers. In a 2024 interview with The Sunday Times, Ferguson spoke candidly about her relationship with Andrew, offering a deeply personal reflection on their shared history. “I first met Andrew when I was 12. My first thought was that I was going to marry him…I was totally and utterly in love with Andrew. I would do it all over again, 100 %,” she said.

Ferguson, who shares daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie with Andrew, went on to describe him in affectionate terms, calling him a man with a “best, great and kind” heart. Her comments painted a picture of enduring emotional connection, despite the legal end of their marriage nearly three decades ago.

She also reflected on their wedding and the support they have continued to provide each other over the years. “Our wedding was the best day of my life…I won’t let him down. He supports me as much as I support him. He’s supported me through thick and thin, not just marriage or divorce,” Ferguson said. She added that their relationship has been guided by what she described as the “three Cs — communication, compromise, compassion.”

As of today, Ferguson and Andrew remain living together at Royal Lodge, a situation that has increasingly been described as a form of quiet exile. Their continued presence there follows decisions by King Charles III to revoke Andrew’s remaining royal privileges, effectively sidelining him from official royal life.

While they have not formally parted ways, recent reports suggest that Andrew and Ferguson’s interactions may have become more limited than in the past. Still, Ferguson’s public remarks leave little doubt about where she stands, emphasizing loyalty over public opinion.

For many royal observers, Ferguson’s unwavering defense of Andrew is both striking and controversial. Yet her words underscore a personal truth she has consistently maintained: that their bond, forged long before royal scandal and separation, remains intact despite changing circumstances and mounting scrutiny.
