Prince William is reportedly open to reconciling with his estranged brother, Prince Harry, but only under strict conditions designed to ensure absolute privacy. According to a new report by RadarOnline, the Prince of Wales has agreed to consider a face-to-face meeting after nearly three years of tension, but on terms that exclude Meghan Markle entirely.
A royal insider told the outlet that William is willing to speak with his younger brother if Harry agrees to a confidential meeting with no aides, no recordings, and no media involvement afterward. “William’s willing to meet Harry, but only if everything happens strictly on his terms,” the source said. “That means no Meghan, no aides, and zero chance of it ending up as content for a documentary or book.”
The insider explained that William has grown extremely cautious following years of public fallout, particularly after Harry and Meghan’s televised interviews and the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare. “He’s deeply wary of being secretly recorded or having his words twisted – the trust between them is completely gone. Harry will basically face being frisked before they talk,” the source added.

Relations between the brothers have remained strained since Harry accused William of physically attacking him during an argument about Meghan, an incident described in the memoir. The claim intensified an already fragile relationship that had been deteriorating since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
A second palace source told RadarOnline that William remains deeply uneasy about speaking to Harry without guarantees of total confidentiality. “William’s terrified that whatever he says could be twisted and made public,” the insider said. “He’s not willing to risk being burned again. If Harry wants to talk, it has to stay completely private – no recordings, no pictures, and no version of events spun for publicity.”
The report comes amid renewed speculation that King Charles is seeking to bring his sons closer together, especially as he continues to manage his own health and responsibilities. However, sources suggest William’s position remains firm — any reconciliation with Harry will only happen in a completely secure and personal setting.

While both brothers have expressed regret over their fractured relationship in the past, it appears the wounds remain deep. For now, royal observers believe that any progress toward peace between William and Harry will depend on one crucial factor: trust — something both men seem to have lost long ago.
