Prince Andrew Faces New Revelations as Former Staff Come Forward With Fresh Claims

Prince Andrew’s past is once again under the spotlight as new insiders step forward with claims about his behavior and life within the royal family. According to royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who has written extensively about the Duke of York, several former staff members and associates are now speaking publicly, providing new material for an upcoming book.

Speaking to Reach PLC, Lownie said he continues to receive information from individuals who worked closely with Andrew during his years as a senior royal. “I’m hearing from protection officers, diplomats, people in the Navy. I’m getting two or three people a day,” he revealed.

The biographer, who has long investigated the royal family’s private affairs, explained that the flow of information has increased significantly since the release of his previous book. He also confirmed that he is planning a follow-up. “I also have plans to do a sequel called Untitled … I’ve just got so much new material from people coming forward,” Lownie said.

He added that many of his new sources had previously refused to speak publicly but are now willing to go on the record. “A lot of people who were off the record are going on the record for the paperback – it’s suddenly opened the floodgates,” he noted.

Lownie shared that even during a recent speaking engagement, new witnesses approached him unexpectedly. “I was giving a talk at the Bridport festival on Friday [November 7], and two people in the audience piped up,” he recalled. “One was a nanny of Andrew’s in the 1960s, and another was an ambassador from Kazakhstan. Really good people are coming forward and adding to the stories.”

The revelations suggest that public interest in Andrew’s life remains intense following years of controversy surrounding his associations and his withdrawal from royal duties. The Duke of York, who stepped back from official engagements in 2019, has largely stayed out of the public eye but continues to be the subject of media scrutiny and biographical investigation.

Lownie’s ongoing research promises to shed new light on the prince’s relationships, behavior, and time in the military. Insiders say the author’s forthcoming work could include accounts that challenge the image Andrew has tried to maintain in recent years.

With more people coming forward, the narrative surrounding the disgraced royal appears far from over. Lownie’s sequel, still in development, is expected to reveal further insights into the complex and often controversial life of Prince Andrew.
