According to royal commentator Rob Shuter, who cited palace sources in his ShuterScoop column, the Prince of Wales is “livid beyond words” after seeing Meghan’s now-deleted social media clip. The Duchess of Sussex shared the short video on her Instagram Stories last Saturday, showing her relaxing in the back of a limo with her feet up while driving through central Paris at night.
In the clip, Meghan filmed the view from her window as her car passed the Pont Alexandre III and Pont des Invalides — two bridges located near the Pont de l’Alma tunnel, the site of Diana’s fatal 1997 car crash.
Palace insiders told Shuter that William’s reaction was one of shock and outrage. “William saw the clip and went white with anger,” one source said. “To him, it wasn’t just bad taste — it was personal desecration. That tunnel is sacred ground. For Meghan to treat it like a selfie moment was the ultimate insult.”
