Meghan Markle is now America’s soccer ball: ‘Kicked around at all’

Meghan Markle’s latest attempts to establish herself as a businesswoman in the U.S. have come under scrutiny, with royal commentator Hilary Fordwich questioning her motives and adherence to royal agreements.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Fordwich pointed out the restrictions placed on Meghan and Prince Harry following their exit from royal duties, widely known as “Megxit.” She explained, “The significance of the situation is regarding the terms set during ‘Megxit.’”

At the time of their departure, expectations were clear—the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were to avoid leveraging their royal titles for personal gain. However, Fordwich believes there are ongoing concerns about whether those boundaries are being upheld. She stated, “There are ongoing discussions regarding the boundaries between personal ventures and royal responsibilities, as well as the implications for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s titles.”

This debate over Meghan and Harry’s business pursuits has sparked divided opinions. While some believe they are exploiting their royal status, others argue that they are being unfairly targeted. Royal commentator Pelham Turner took a strong stance in their defense, suggesting the criticism has been excessive.

He remarked, “Harry and Meghan are being treated like a soccer ball that can be kicked around at will.” Turner, who comes from a working-class family, emphasized the importance of family loyalty, adding, “I come from a working-class family where family protects family, not throws them to the wolves.”

The ongoing debate over the Sussexes’ business activities continues to fuel discussion about their place in both the royal world and private enterprise. Whether their endeavors will be seen as legitimate independent ventures or opportunistic moves leveraging their past titles remains a matter of intense public and media scrutiny.
