Kate Middleton is reportedly unfazed by what insiders describe as Meghan Markle’s latest attempt to upstage her during the holiday season. Meghan’s new special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, is set to premiere on December 3—just two days before Kate’s annual Christmas carol service.
According to a new report, people close to the Princess of Wales believe the timing is no coincidence and see it as a deliberate move by Meghan to draw attention away from Kate’s long-running event. Even so, Kate is said to be taking it in stride. Insiders say she finds the whole situation more amusing than threatening.
They explained that while Kate invests a great deal of energy into the carol service each year, she isn’t bothered by the overlap. “It’s meaningful to her. The timing of Meghan’s project felt pointed – but Kate thinks the whole thing is just a bit silly,” one source shared.

Those close to the princess say she has no intention of responding or shifting her plans. Instead, she is choosing to let the public judge the situation for themselves. “Kate doesn’t expect warmth from Meghan and Meghan certainly doesn’t expect it from Kate,” the insider said. “But when it comes to Christmas this year, Kate feels confident.”
The source added that Kate believes any attempt by Meghan to overshadow her will ultimately fall flat. “She thinks Meghan’s attempt to overshadow her is just another misstep – and she’s happy to let the public decide.”
With both projects launching the same week, attention is likely to fall on how the public receives each woman’s holiday offering. But those around Kate insist the princess is focused fully on her own work, not whatever Meghan is doing.
