Prince Harry Reportedly Open to Sending His Kids to School in the UK

King Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold, has shared new insight into Prince Harry’s long-term plans for his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, including the possibility of enrolling them in British schools. Speaking to Study Dog, as reported by Hello!, Harrold revealed that Harry appears eager to offer his children a traditional British educational experience, despite raising them in the United States.

“It’s very likely and completely possible,” Harrold stated when asked about the likelihood of British schooling. “If they have their younger education in America, I’m sure their father will be quite keen to have a bit of a British education.” According to Harold, the final decision may rest on more than just personal preferences.

“Then it depends on how the relationship is with the rest of the family when the time comes,” he noted, alluding to the still-tense dynamic between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royal family. While Harry’s interest in maintaining a British connection through education appears strong, Meghan Markle has previously expressed concerns about the idea.

In a 2022 interview with The Cut, the Duchess of Sussex firmly pushed back on the notion of raising their children in the U.K., citing privacy and safety. “Sorry,” Meghan said at the time. “I have a problem with that. That doesn’t make me obsessed with privacy. That makes me a strong and good parent protecting my child,” she explained, referring to the likelihood of paparazzi and media attention around British schools.

Despite the couple stepping down from their roles as senior royals in 2020, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are still entitled to their royal titles as grandchildren of the reigning monarch, King Charles III. In fact, the use of “Prince” and “Princess” has reportedly been a significant issue for Harry and Meghan, who want to preserve their children’s royal identity.

According to sources close to the family, Harry believes the retention of their His and Her Royal Highness (HRH) titles is essential for Archie and Lilibet’s future. “Prince Harry wants to keep the HRH [His/Her Royal Highness] titles for his children so that when they grow older, they can decide for themselves whether they want to become working royals, or stay out of public life,” the insider claimed.

As the Sussexes continue to navigate life outside the royal institution, the future of their children’s upbringing, both in terms of education and public roles, remains a subject of public interest and ongoing speculation.
