Prince Harry is said to be unhappy with Meghan Markle after she shared a photo of their four-year-old daughter, Lilibet, on social media without his knowledge. The Duchess of Sussex posted the image to mark International Day of the Girl, sparking tension between the couple over their long-standing disagreement about privacy.
According to RadarOnline, Meghan uploaded a photo to her Instagram account showing Lilibet running through the garden of their California home. Although the child’s face was not visible in the picture, the post reportedly caught Harry off guard and made him uncomfortable.
“Harry’s deeply uncomfortable,” a palace source told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter, who shared details on Substack. “He spent years fighting tabloids and paparazzi to protect his kids. Now Meghan’s the one putting them back in the spotlight.” The source added that the Duke of Sussex was unaware of Meghan’s plan to post the image.
“He found out almost when the rest of us did,” the insider said. “He thinks she crossed a line.” The couple, who stepped back from royal duties in 2020 partly to protect their children’s privacy, have often spoken publicly about their desire to keep Archie and Lilibet out of media attention.
Harry, in particular, has been vocal about the trauma of growing up under constant press scrutiny and has repeatedly urged for strict privacy regarding his family. Meghan’s post, however, was intended to highlight International Day of the Girl and encourage young women to stand up for their rights. In her caption, she wrote, “To all the girls – this world is yours.

While Meghan’s message received praise from many of her followers, insiders say it reignited Harry’s concerns about public exposure and privacy. The couple’s differing approaches to handling their family’s public image have reportedly caused friction in the past, particularly regarding how much of their private life they should share online.
Despite the disagreement, sources close to the Sussexes say they remain united in their broader commitment to advocacy and public service.
