“Harry and Meghan are bad news for the Royal Family,” says expert on Sussexes’ role

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing criticism from royal observers who claim the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are undermining Prince William and Kate Middleton, despite ongoing attempts to repair their relationship with the Royal Family.

Royal expert Richard Eden, speaking to the Daily Mail, did not hold back in his assessment. “Obviously, I can understand a father wanting to meet his son. Who wouldn’t? The problem is, he is not just a father, he is our Head of State, and I think Harry and Meghan are bad news for the Royal Family,” Eden said.

The expert argued that the Sussexes have repeatedly exploited their royal connections. “We have seen time and time again that they can’t be trusted. They exploit their royal connections, and I don’t think it’s being paranoid to say that they want to be the alternative Royal Family,” Eden added.

Eden further speculated that the couple’s actions are aimed at overshadowing the current principal royals. “They want to replace Prince William and Catherine as the principal royals, and they undermine them,” he said.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their senior roles within the Royal Family in 2020, a move that sent shockwaves through the monarchy. Since relocating to California, the couple has openly shared their grievances with the institution, citing incidents of racism and personal mistreatment. Their interviews and public statements have fueled ongoing debates about the role of the Sussexes within the modern monarchy.

The couple now resides in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and continues to navigate both royal duties and private ventures. While they have made attempts to reconcile with the Royal Family, critics like Eden remain wary of their influence and intentions.

Observers note that Harry and Meghan’s presence in the public eye—through interviews, podcasts, and media appearances—continues to draw attention away from senior royals and has sparked concerns about the stability and unity of the monarchy.

Despite this scrutiny, the Sussexes maintain that their goal is to build a life that balances family, personal projects, and charitable work, while attempting to maintain some connection to the Royal Family. Yet, as Eden’s comments illustrate, there remains skepticism about whether the couple’s actions are ultimately in the best interest of the monarchy.
