“Merry Christmas to All, Including the Radical Left Scum”: Trump Slams Democrats in Holiday Rant

On Christmas Eve, President Donald Trump issued a fiery message on Truth Social, attacking the “Radical Left Scum” he claims is trying to destroy the country. The 79-year-old Republican didn’t hold back, using his platform to launch a scathing criticism of Democratic policies and figures.

“Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly,” Trump began in his 101-word post. He continued by targeting a series of issues, many of which have been focal points of his previous rants. “We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement,” Trump claimed, reiterating his usual list of grievances.

The president also took a victory lap on the state of the economy, despite ongoing inflation concerns. Trump highlighted recent stock market rallies, noting that the S&P 500 and Dow had reached record highs and touting 4.3% GDP growth reported the day before. “We have no inflation,” Trump declared, even as the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a 2.7% inflation rate just the week prior.

Trump further boasted about the success of his tariffs, claiming they led to “Trillions of Dollars in Growth and Prosperity” and noting that the U.S. has the “strongest National Security we have ever had.” He added, “We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God Bless America!!!”

This latest outburst follows a series of posts Trump made earlier in the day, including five links to articles from the right-leaning outlet Just the News. The articles focused on topics such as the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and conspiracy theories surrounding election meddling by Obama-era officials.

Trump’s holiday posts on Truth Social have become an annual tradition. Just a few months ago, he sparked controversy with a derogatory remark aimed at Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and used similar language to attack “radical left lunatics” on Easter. The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the backlash over Trump’s latest post.

In a lighter moment earlier that day, Trump and First Lady Melania took calls from children participating in the North American Aerospace Defense Command’s (NORAD) Santa tracker hotline. When one child asked for gifts from Santa, Trump jokingly quipped, “Not coal, no, you don’t want coal. You mean clean, beautiful coal?” Trump, a long-time supporter of coal, used the opportunity to make a playful reference to the often-punitive gift of coal in Christmas stockings.

While Trump’s holiday message was filled with his usual political jabs, it also served as a reminder of his ongoing presence in the political conversation—fueled by his fiery rhetoric and populist stance.
