President Donald Trump issued a forceful response following the June 1 firebombing attack on pro-Israel demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, condemning the violence and blaming President Joe Biden’s immigration policies.
In a June 2 post on Truth Social, Trump described the attack as “horrific” and vowed to crack down on what he called “illegal, anti-American radicals.” He tied the incident to border security concerns and pledged a renewed focus on immigration enforcement should he return to office.
“Yesterday’s horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America,” Trump wrote. “He came in through Biden’s ridiculous Open Border Policy, which has hurt our Country so badly.”
According to Mediaite, the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, allegedly used a homemade flamethrower to target marchers supporting Israeli hostages. According to reports, Soliman had overstayed his visa prior to the attack, which left eight people, aged 52 to 88, injured, one critically.
Trump seized on those immigration details to call for stricter border measures. “This is yet another example of why we must keep our Borders SECURE, and deport Illegal, anti-American radicals from our Homeland,” he declared.

He added, “He must go out under ‘TRUMP’ Policy. Acts of Terrorism will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law.” Trump also extended condolences to those affected, writing, “My heart goes out to the victims of this terrible tragedy, and the Great People of Boulder, Colorado!”
The attack’s motive has been confirmed as hate-driven. According to an arrest affidavit, Soliman told federal and local law enforcement he “wanted to kill all Zionist people and wished they were all dead.”
U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado, J. Bishop Grewell, elaborated during a press conference: “He wanted them all to die. He had no regrets, and he would go back and do it again. No one should ever be subjected to violence of any kind.”
Grewell added, “But our laws recognize that such violence is particularly pernicious when somebody is targeted because of their race, their religion, or their national origin.” Trump’s statement sparked polarized reactions online. Critics accused him of politicizing the attack, as per Politico.
“Trump’s watch. Trump’s responsibility. Period,” one user wrote. Others pointed to Trump-era cuts to anti-terrorism programs, arguing the former president bore responsibility.
Supporters, however, praised his call for tighter immigration enforcement. “I’m glad you support the deportations,” one commenter posted. The debate underscores the broader national divide over immigration, security, and accountability in the wake of politically and ideologically motivated violence.
