Mary Trump has issued a scathing warning about her uncle, President Donald Trump, declaring he is “unfit to serve” amid rising concern over his physical and mental condition. The 79-year-old President was recently spotted with what appeared to be concealer on his hand, drawing fresh attention to his health.
This follows earlier rumors of bruising on his hands, first noticed in spring 2024, and comes after reports of a “significant” medical issue. In a prior meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, cameras captured a noticeable green bruise on Trump’s hand turning purple. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt downplayed the incident, stating: “President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.”
She added: “President Trump is a man of the people, and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history.” Mary Trump, a psychologist and author, disagrees. On her YouTube channel, she cited multiple incidents of Trump appearing with bruises dating back to 2020, reports the Irish Star.
While not speculating definitively, she shared her own experience with IV placements and noted: “It may lead to some deeper health issue… The people of the United States of America have every right to know what the status of the president’s health is, be it physical or psychological.”
Mary further criticized the apparent double standard in media scrutiny, pointing out that if President Biden displayed similar symptoms, “there would be greater demands on the White House for transparency.”
She went on to allege that Trump is “on a mental spiral, a downhill one, for quite some time now,” which she says has “accelerated” recently. Referencing his appearance at a Pennsylvania news conference, she claimed Trump was “fighting to stay awake at the table right in front of the press,” sarcastically adding: “Where is Sleepy Joe when you need him?”
