Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump, has recently enrolled at Oxbridge Academy, a private school located near the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The 15-year-old, who is often seen at political events with his parents, will be a part of the class of 2024 at the elite institution, with an annual tuition cost of $34,800, as reported by PEOPLE.
Scott Siegfried, the Director of Advancement at Oxbridge Academy, expressed enthusiasm about Barron joining their community. This enrollment marks the first time the school will accommodate a student under the protection of the Secret Service. Siegfried noted the Secret Service’s intention to minimize their impact on the school’s daily operations, a practice they have experience with from serving other former presidents’ children, They’re fantastic,” as reported by The Palm Beach Post.
In preparation for Barron’s arrival, the school administration informed other students’ parents via email. Ralph Mauer, the head of the school, assured that a small contingent of Secret Service agents would be discretely present on school grounds, and the school is collaborating with them to ensure smooth operations with minimal disruption. Siegfried mentioned that the response from parents so far has been positive.
Oxbridge Academy, founded in 2011 by billionaire Bill Koch, brother of Charles and the late David Koch of Koch Industries, is known for educating children from some of America’s most influential families. This will be the first instance of the school hosting a student accompanied by Secret Service agents.
Before joining Oxbridge Academy, Barron attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland. This was a departure from the tradition of presidential children attending Sidwell Friends, a Quaker school in Bethesda, Maryland, and Washington, D.C, per The List.
The decision to enroll Barron at Oxbridge Academy follows the Trump family’s relocation to Florida after the 2020 presidential election. Choosing to reside in West Palm Beach, near Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, the family settled in an area familiar to them.
