Joking with a “View” costar, Whoopi Goldberg claims she would “die” if her children didn’t return home for Thanksgiving

ABC

During a discussion, Goldberg brought up the possibility of Hostin’s children having school obligations that might conflict with holiday gatherings. Hostin humorously expressed her dismay at the thought, playfully saying, “Noooo. No.”

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin then highlighted that not everyone is fortunate enough to have a positive family environment, which can make returning home for holidays challenging for some.

Hostin, appearing slightly dismayed, confidently stated, “Well, we have a great family.” Griffin, acknowledging this, expressed her desire to join Hostin’s family Thanksgiving, but emphasized the importance of creating one’s own holiday traditions, especially for those who might not have a warm family setting to return to.

Goldberg then addressed the audience directly, reminding them of the unpredictability of life and the importance of connecting with family during the holidays. She advised that if one can’t make it home, it’s crucial to at least call, acknowledging that while it may seem bothersome, it’s a gesture that means a lot.

Ana Navarro chimed in, pointing out the financial constraints that might prevent some from traveling home for the holidays. She suggested that those hosting Thanksgiving should consider inviting someone who might not be able to afford the journey home.

Hostin warmly invited everyone to her house for Thanksgiving, prompting a light-hearted response from Joy Behar as the table shared a laugh.
