Travis Scott Music Video Filming Halted After Knife Threat Report In Tottenham

Travis Scott’s latest music video shoot in north London came to an abrupt halt after a man allegedly threatened to stab a member of the crew. The 34-year-old American rapper was filming with rising South African star Tyla at the Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham when the incident took place.

The area, long known for its troubled past, had been secured for the shoot with heavy security in place. Scott had just come off headlining performances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals before beginning work on the project with Tyla, whose career has been rapidly on the rise. The collaboration drew attention from local residents, with curious crowds gathering near the set.

According to witnesses, the disturbance began when a man repeatedly entered the restricted filming area. “Tyla was filming some scenes about 40 yards away when this man kept walking onto the set,” a source said. “A member of the crew approached him and asked him to leave, and that is when he started being threatening and pulled out what looked like a knife.”

The set was immediately locked down. Tyla was escorted to safety while Scott was kept away from the confrontation until the scene was secured. Police later confirmed they were called to Willan Road following reports of a man making stabbing threats.

Officers detained a 29-year-old man and recovered drugs and cash, though no knife was found at the time of arrest. Despite the scare, neither Scott nor Tyla was harmed. Both artists were described as “shaken” by the disruption, but decided to continue filming once the situation was under control and police cleared the scene.

The Broadwater Farm Estate, where the video was being shot, is infamous for its history of unrest and has often been associated with crime in London. The choice of location had already attracted attention, and the incident only heightened concerns about security on set.

For Scott, the shoot is part of a busy schedule following his headline festival appearances. The rapper has been working on new music and high-profile collaborations while continuing to expand his reputation as one of hip hop’s most prominent figures.

Tyla, who has been gaining international acclaim, is seen as a breakout talent poised for global recognition. While the project has not yet been officially announced, the collaboration between the two artists is expected to draw significant attention once released.
