Rob Schneider, known for his roles in films like “The Hot Chick” and “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,” didn’t hold back when discussing the ongoing controversy surrounding Bud Light and country singer Garth Brooks. The controversy emerged after Brooks revealed his plans to sell the beer at his upcoming bar in Nashville, leading to a backlash from fans. Bud Light’s parent company has been experiencing declining sales since a marketing campaign featuring transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney went viral in April.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Schneider, who is a star on Fox Nation’s “Woke Up in America,” suggested that Brooks should have stayed out of the beer selection debate. Schneider stated, “I think Garth Brooks, next time, is going to shut his mouth, and he’s going to pretend like ‘I don’t have anything to do with what beer is chosen in my restaurant.'” He added that people often choose to remain silent due to the hypersensitivity of today’s culture, both in favor of and against certain causes.

The controversy surrounding Bud Light has seen a mix of support and opposition. The beer brand garnered support after sending a personalized pack of beer to transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney as part of an ad for their March Madness contest. Meanwhile, Brooks confirmed that his bar would serve “every brand of beer” to create an inclusive and welcoming environment. He emphasized the importance of diversity and inclusivity, stating, “I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming.”

Schneider admitted that he understands Brooks’ perspective, as both of them are susceptible to ego. He criticized Brooks for justifying his decision, saying, “Well, I think that, you know, I’m a good person because I did…’ And it’s like, shut up.” Schneider shared an example from his own experience, where he faced backlash after expressing an opinion on “Fox and Friends.” He noted that liberals tend to cast out those with differing opinions, emphasizing the divide in today’s society.

The actor concluded by stating that he would rather speak his mind, even if it leads to making less money or facing consequences. Schneider highlighted the importance of expressing oneself honestly, even in the face of potential backlash. He expressed a willingness to face the repercussions and continued to advocate for his right to voice his opinions freely. In the ongoing debate surrounding Garth Brooks’ involvement with Bud Light, Schneider provided a critical perspective on the role of public figures in expressing their opinions and the challenges they may face as a result.
