Paris Jackson Reveals Drug Use Left Her With a Hole in Her Nose: “Do Not Use Drugs, Kids”

Paris Jackson opened up about one of the lasting effects of her past drug use, revealing that it left her with a physical reminder she still lives with today. In a recent social media video, the 27-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson shared that she developed a hole in her nose as a result of drug abuse.

“I never realised I never addressed this, and it can sometimes be very noticeable,” Jackson said. “I have a really loud whistle because you can hear it when I breathe through my nose, and that is because I have what is called a perforated septum.”

The candid video, reposted by a TikTok fan account on Sunday, showed Jackson speaking directly to her followers as she demonstrated the condition. Holding up her cellphone flashlight, she shone it into her nostril, revealing a small tunnel of light passing through to the other side — clear evidence of the perforation.

A perforated septum is a hole in the thin wall of tissue that separates the nostrils, known medically as the septum. According to the Cleveland Clinic, this condition can occur for several reasons, including prolonged drug use, especially with substances inhaled through the nose. Other causes can include overuse of nasal steroid sprays, certain autoimmune disorders, trauma, or exposure to harsh industrial chemicals.

Jackson did not go into detail about when or how long her drug use lasted, but she spoke calmly and openly about its impact. Her tone was matter-of-fact, focusing more on awareness and education than regret. Despite the seriousness of the revelation, she ended the video with a firm message aimed at younger viewers.

“Do not use drugs, kids,” she warned, offering a straightforward piece of advice drawn from personal experience. Fans quickly responded with messages of support and gratitude for her honesty. Many praised her willingness to share something so personal, noting that her openness could help others struggling with addiction or recovery.

Jackson, who has previously spoken about her mental health and past challenges, has often used her platform to encourage self-acceptance and healing. Known for her music and activism, she has gradually stepped out of her father’s shadow while building her own artistic and emotional identity.

Her latest revelation adds to her history of transparency, showing once again that she is unafraid to use her voice to shed light on difficult subjects — and to remind others that recovery and honesty can go hand in hand.
