Lori Loughlin And Mossimo Giannulli Separate After Twenty Eight Years Together

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have decided to live apart after nearly three decades of marriage. A representative for the actress confirmed the news to Page Six, stating, “I can confirm Lori and Mossimo are living apart now,” while also clarifying, “there are no legal proceedings underway.”

The couple, who wed on November 27, 1997, share two daughters, Isabella Rose, 27, and influencer Olivia Jade, 26. PEOPLE was the first to report the separation, noting that earlier this year the pair listed their Hidden Hills mansion for $16.5 million.

Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, were married for 28 years and together faced public scrutiny over their involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal. In May 2020, the pair admitted to paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission into the University of Southern California by falsely presenting them as crew recruits.

Neither daughter participated in the sport. Loughlin served two months in federal prison in Dublin, California, and was released in December 2020. Giannulli received a five-month sentence and was released from Lompoc, California, in April 2021.

Though Loughlin has not spoken extensively about the scandal, she has shared reflections on what she learned from the experience. In an interview with First for Women, she said, “Stuff happens to everyone. We’ve all been in positions to ask for forgiveness, but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too.”

She emphasized that forgiveness was a core value in her upbringing. “I didn’t grow up in a household where if you made a mistake, you weren’t forgiven. No one is perfect; we all make mistakes. So I was always told to let stuff go. And I think for your own health, you have to let things go because you can’t hang on to negativity. Life’s too short.”

For years, the couple’s relationship was tested not only by the scandal but also by the legal consequences that followed. While there are currently no divorce filings, their decision to separate after such a lengthy marriage signals a major change in both their lives.

The move to live apart closes a significant chapter for Loughlin and Giannulli, who once projected the image of a close-knit Hollywood family. Their daughters, both of whom have pursued careers in the public eye, now watch as their parents redefine their relationship after 28 years together.
